I have somewhat finished the episode. I guess all I have to do is a final read through, bold/italic, add music and do commercial breaks. That whole process will probably take me a few nights. Hopefully, over that time I will be able to talk to Harmony about a few plot and characterization things I am struggling with. I guess struggling is the wrong word. I like what I’ve written. I don’t think it’s particularly bad. I’m just not sure if it feels perfectly right. My main issues are 1) Jake and 2) Alyssa. Jake goes down the self-destructive road a little bit which I think is fairly reasonable considering. I just don’t want it to make her seem weak. And she’s got Scout taking care of her. Is that natural or is that weird? As for Alyssa, I’m trying to make her seem as un-hoe-ish as possible. In other words, I want her to be likable. I mean, I know she’s instantly unlikable considering that the episode starts with Hamilton getting ready for a date with her, but if you look beyond that, I want what’s left to be 100% likable. I adjusted a few things and I think I achieved what I wanted. I should emphasize “think.” I was also having trouble getting the theme right, but that’s mostly because it was halfway written without a theme in mind. I got it tied back in fairly nicely and I’m actually pretty pleased with the way Will’s monologues turned out.
Anyway, I guess that is all I have to report

I’m up to the point of writing the closing monologue, which I am glad about. I’ve been rethinking the next few episodes and the way things will unfold…perhaps at a slower pace that I originally thought. Then again, with the rate at which I get episodes written…that might annoy readers. Hmm. I still have Harmony on the case of making sure the current episode doesn’t suck. She is the best at saying “No, this will NOT work.” Anyway, just a few more pages to write, then a few days of editing, music adding and…it’ll be done. Yay.

Okay, so I’m all moved and settled and have my little cubby set up at work (I am a floater! No classroom of my own!). I have plenty of lesson plans to be working on…hence the beautiful procrastination exercise that is writing fan fiction. Everytime I think the episode is a few scenes away from wrapping up, something else happens (like Hamilton and Nicholas duking it out, for example). But, still, it’s nearly done. The NEXT episode is bound to be full of thrills. A lot of shocking things will happen. Well, okay, one main shocking thing. And the cleanup after this kind of shocking thing that happens at the end of THIS episode. ANyway, my thoughts are jumbled as usual, but hopefully you get the idea. Now, off to write. Thank you for the comments on the posts. I had trouble logging in for about a week (only because I’d dumb, not because anything was wrong). You guys are my favorites
